How our accounting service works

How our accounting service works

An in-depth explanation of how our service works, what you can expect to receive and how it can be tailored to your practice requirements.

1. Full time accountants allocated to your practice

How it works:

1. We allocate our Felcorp Senior Accountants to your practice on a full time basis that are dedicated exclusively to you. They work in your practice under your direction and complete the work allocated by you.

2. Felcorp Senior Accountants complete all tax financials, tax returns and BAS lodgements etc that you allocate to them, just like a normal in-house Senior Accountant.

3. The Felcorp Senior Accountants do not contact your clients. They prepare the tax accounting jobs you have allocated to them and communicate to your practice staff only.

More details:

  • What are their working hours?

Felcorp staff work Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm (India Standard Time). This is approximately 2-5 hours behind Australian timezones.

  • Where are the staff located?

Our staff are located in Chandigarh, India as well as Bangalore, India.

  • Are the staff qualified and experienced?

Yes, all our Senior Accountants have between 5 - 15 years of Australian tax experience and undergo 40 hours of Australian CPD requirements each year to remain qualified for placement.

2. Felcorp manages the allocated accountants

What Felcorp does:

1. All our accounting staff are employees of Felcorp and we manage all payroll and HR responsibilities as well as all ongoing performance management such as CPD training, KPIs, practice workflow compliance.

2. We manage the staff everyday on your behalf and facilitate the relationship between our staff and your practice so issues are resolved, software access is properly set up and timelines are adhered to.

3. We are therefore providing a professionally managed staffing service with formal management procedures in place to ensure work is completed to the standard of an Australian Senior Accountant.

More details:

  • How do you manage the staff?

With every allocated accountant, there is always a team manager looking after them and ensuring both client and staff needs are met.

  • If I am not happy what can I do?

If you are not happy with the management of the staff or allocated staff member, we can discuss methods to improve the service, improve the functionality of accounting software or allocate a different staff member.

  • How do you ensure that the job is done right?

All jobs are reviewed by our experienced team leaders and senior management. Our senior managers are heavily involved in our clients' workflow to ensure that timelines, processes and quality standards are met.

3. How to allocate work

What work you can allocate:

All our Senior Accountants are qualified to prepare all Australian tax compliance. We commonly prepare family groups, consolidated accounts, BAS's, bookkeeping and everything in between.

How to allocate work:

Allocating work is quite simple. We first need to get set up on the accounting software to prepare the allocated work.

Once access is set up, it is simply sending us an email or sending us a message on our Felcorp Support communication app telling us what you want done.

4. Completing your work

We use your workpapers:

As part of the onboarding process, we request you to send us the workpapers your want our staff to use. We will then complete all jobs on that workpaper template going forward.

Receiving our queries:

We will draft all queries on that workpaper (unless we have other instructions) and make sure to reference and link each item to the corresponding tab for quick resolution by yourself.

Finalising the job:

Once we have received the queries, we proceed to finalise the job and prepare the financials and tax returns in the way you want them.

5. Communicating with the team

Using the Felcorp App for daily communication:

For everyday communication, we recommend utilising the Felcorp Support app as our team leaders and senior managers are included in the workflow discussions to ensure timelines and quality controls are adhered to.

Using your preferred communication platform:

If you have your own preferred communication system such as Microsoft teams or Slack, we can bring our staff into your communication environment.

5. How the contract works

How the contract works:

1. Our contract has an initial 3 month set up period then it reverts month-to-month after that. Simply, if you wish to part ways with us for any reason, give us 1 month's notice.

2. As it is month-to-month, you can scale up or scale down additional staff without hesitation or retribution.

3. We structure our contract on the same terms as our relationship with you which is based on trust and transparency.
